Blair Athol Distillery

Established in 1798 in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Bell's Blair Athol Distillery is one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland, producing the signature malt of the best selling Scotch in the UK.

The easiest of all Highland Perthshire's distilleries to visit, as it is just off the main street running through Pitlochry.

Blair Athol Distillery, purchased by Athur Bell & Sons in 1933, where productions of Bell's Whisky commenced in 1949 with water sourced from the Allt Dour Burn. Blair Atholl Distillery expanded in 1973 adding two new stills and the Visitor Centre was built in 1987 allowing people to learn about the production of whisky and the history. Blair Athol Distillery has an annual capacity of 2,300,000 Litres.

Blair Athol Distillery is the heart of the Bell's Blend, you can learn all about the History of the blend, the advertising campaigns and the distillery, previously named Aldour, at the exhibition housed within the welcoming Visitor Centre.
